SPARE ROOM is an exhibition space located in Vancouver that observes the relationship between subject and space through site-specific works. First conceived in 2015, the exhibition room explores the concept of space as an environment, situation, and place to research the experimental possibilities of spatial composition.

spare room questions the “white cube” notion of traditional gallery space, bridging the site/off-site binary represented in public and private spaces.

Located in Vancouver, Chinatown.
